ABSTRACT
The article discusses an political outlook for Lithuania for 2009. The short-term political risk for the country was reduced to 74.8 because of the outbreak of violent protests against reforms by the government. It is expected that more protests and social unrest will take place because of the discontentment of the electorate with the fiscal stabilization plan of the government.
