ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the issues concerning the compensation costs of workers amidst the slumping economy in the U.S. It has been observed that employee compensation has become the main area of focus for employers looking to save money. It suggests that two possible solutions to cut costs are the tightening claims communications and using workers' advocates to speed up the process. The proposed solutions are expected to result to quicker returns to work and major savings in companies.
