ABSTRACT
The article reports on the deployment of a carrier air wing that will include the full embodiment of its Helicopter Master Plan by the Navy in the U.S. According to Captain Dean Peters, the Navy's H-60 program manager, the operational fleet will expand from about 350 various helicopters to about 600 MH-60R/S helicopters under the master plan. The Automatic Radar Periscope Detection and Discrimination capability is an upgrade planned for the MH-60R.
