The article reports on the first government auction of carbon trading permits in Great Britain. It is stated that almost �4 million were gathered to greenhouse gas emitters in a sale. The government hopes to encourage the companies to switch to cleaner and greener technologies. The effort is a development towards global campaign to save the planet by making polluters pay.
