ABSTRACT
This article discusses the results of a research study conducted to measure dental changes in white rats fed on a purified diet deficient in Vitamin E. It was presumed that the presence of succinylsulfathiazole would prevent synthesis in the gastrointestinal tract. Depigmentation of the incisors, premature atrophy of the stratum papillare, marked edemas, and cyst formations was discovered in the rats.

Initial experiments were designed to test the effects of two diphosphonates on acid dissolution of mature human enamel. Polished facets of enamel were treated with 10 mmol/L of EHDP or Cl2MDP (pH 7.4) for five min, H2O-washed, add-etched with 0.01 N lactic add (pH 5.4) for 15 min, and examined...

Cystic degeneration/spongiosis hepatis in rats has been proposed to be a preneoplastic and/or neoplastic lesion by some authors, because of its proliferative properties and persistent increased cell turnover rate in stop experiments using hepatocarcinogens, and the assumption that it can develop...

Background: Ghrelin is the endogenous ligand for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR). Ghrelin regulates feeding activity and interdigestive contractions of the stomach in rodents.
