The article focuses on the amendments to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Vehicle Weights and Dimensions in Canada. It is stated that wide-base single-tires have higher impacts than dual-tires if used at dual tire loads and that to be consistent, weight limit standards for both were increased to the limits applicable in the U.S. The use of an 83.5" axle installed with 0" outset wheels by a trailer if it is to be equipped with wide-base single tires is also suggested.
