Time to test redundancy selection criteria to see if it's age discriminatory

The article assesses whether redundancy selection criteria is age discriminatory. When older employees are selected for redundancy, they often conclude their age must be the underlying reason since they have greater experience and skills than their younger colleagues. Being older and being selected for redundancy are not sufficient on their own to win an age discrimination claim. It is necessary to show a connection between the two. Using objectively measurable selection criteria is the best way to avoid age claims.
