ABSTRACT
The article reports that Sergeant First Class Dexter Avery was selected to play for Team USA in the 2009 Border Battle. The competition is a slow-pitch softball game between the U.S. and Canada. Avery will be awarded for a decade of All-Army Softball excellence during the 4th World Cop of Softball at the Amateur Softball Association's Hall of Fame Complex in Oklahoma City on July 18, 2008. The author shares that Avery has maintained a batting average in the .700s throughout competitions.
