ABSTRACT
The article features Tony Schumacher. It is stated that Schumacher beat out the competition with a single-season record of 15 top fuel career victories in 2008. He picked up his fifth consecutive and sixth overall National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) championship title when he and his crew finished the 2008 season in November 2008 at Pomona Dragway in California. The Driver of the Year Foundation awarded Schumacher 2008 Driver of the Year for his and the Army team's accomplishments.
