ABSTRACT
This article reports that members of the Grand Valley Metro Council to influence state lawmakers in Michigan on how the money that will come from the federal economic stimulus package should flow through the state. President Barack Obama is requesting the Congress to provide $800 billion in economic stimulus package. It explains that how this money is distributed is as important as how much Michigan gets. It is estimated that Michigan would receive from $500 million to $1 billion a year from the stimulus package.
