ABSTRACT
The article presents a collection of news briefs about events that have taken place in Washington, D.C. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell has joined the "Renew America Together" initiative in an effort to increase voluntarism among citizens. All of the living U.S. presidents and former presidents gathered for a lunch before the Inauguration of Barack Obama. Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon has been indicted on 12 counts.
