ABSTRACT
The article reports that Lloyds TSB has been named the most gay-friendly employer in 2008 by gay rights campaigner Stonewall. A record number of employers competed to be included in this year's list despite fears that diversity budgets would be cut in a recession. Professional services, the police and investment banking were the best-performing sectors, while low firm Simmons & Simmons was named most improved employer.
