ABSTRACT
The article presents statistics and news briefs relating to the wealth management industry. Changes which have been made by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) in regards to the way in which fiduciaries for Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) plans can use their funds are discussed. The percentage of women who trust financial advisors is discussed. The amount that tuition at public universities increased for the 2008-2009 school year, as compared to the previous year, is mentioned. The number of option contracts that were sold on a daily basis in 2006 is mentioned.
