ABSTRACT
The article discusses the completion of the longest large-diameter sliplining project and the Lake Street sewer rehabilitation project in Evanston, Illinois. It examines the challenges faced during the rehabilitation such as the 26-foot cover depth under the existing infrastructure including roads and a railway. According to Tom Grillis, project superintendent Kenny Construction, the only issue with installing was to control the water to the level that would make the pipe neutrally buoyant. He adds that they made some modifications and the pipe stayed bouyant.
