The article discusses the challenges and changes in Florida Statute Chapter 558 statutes otherwise known as the Florida Construction Defect Statute. The bill is anticipated to be filed to amend the Chapter 558 to address many shortcomings associated with the statute. Some suggestions to achieve compliance from the standpoint of both the owner and contractor are provided.
