Crowds greet opening of Encore

The article reports on the opening of Encore resort in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 22, 2008. The resort offers suite rooms, casino, restaurants, retail outlets, a night club and a spa. It is inferred that the resort opened in the middle of economic crisis, wherein the city's casino revenues declined to 8.7 percent and visitation to 3 percent. There are approximately 800 people who queued for the opening.
