ABSTRACT
The article looks at the street-level and parking garage fireworks display set by the Las Vegas Events and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to conform with the requirements imposed by the Clark County Fire Department in Nevada in 2008. It is implied that Las Vegas needs to be more appealing during recession. The Paris Las Vegas, which is not a launch location for fireworks, will have motor bike rider Robbie Maddison perform on New Year's Eve. Convention authority spokesman Vince Alberta hopes for the hotel-rooftop fireworks show in 2009.
