Six Albertsons, Lucky stores to close in Las Vegas

The article reports on the plans of Albertsons to close six Albertsons and Lucky grocery stores in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 19, 2009. Company spokeswoman Lilia Rodriguez noted that the decision to close a store is guided by what is best for the success of the firm. She added that Albertsons intends to assist displaced workers in finding future employment. Thirty-three out of 520 Albertsons stores in the U.S. are located in Las Vegas.
