ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of MGM Mirage to delay and revise a component of its multibillion-dollar CityCenter development due to construction problems in Las Vegas, Nevada. The move to open the Harmon Hotel at the end of 2010 and the cancellation of a portion of Harmon's residential condominium are expected to generate $200 million in savings. MGM was able to cut $600 million from the CityCenter budget. The Harmon will have 400 rooms when it is completed about a year behind schedule.
