As lights go dark on Broadway, Nevada Conservatory Theatre optimistic about future

The article focuses on the impact of the economic downturn on Broadway productions in New York City as well as on productions in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to Robert Brewer, artistic director of the Nevada Conservatory Theatre (NCT), they are having a difficult time yet he thinks the future for Las Vegas in terms of culture is positive. Some of the upcoming performances at NCT include "The Diary of Anne Frank" in February 2009 and "The Cradle Will Rock" in March. It cites the optimistic outlook of NCT for 2009, pending the budget.
