The article reports on the business performance of Lowe's Cos. Inc. in the U.S. The company accounted that its third-quarter profit decreased 24% as consumers eschewed home improvement projects and big-ticket purchases. According to Lowe's chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Robert Niblock, the third quarter continued what has been a very difficult period as many exterior factors weighed on home improvement sales.
