ABSTRACT
The article presents outlook from several human resource executives for 2008. According to Patricia Taylor, director of HR and payroll services at LogicaCMG, generation Y is demanding flexibility and always-on, multi-channel technology in the workplace. Steve Barnett, director of NHS Employers, pointed out that 2008 will be the year in which several national initiatives will place a greater emphasis on investing in and listening to staff. David Fairhurst, senior vice-president of the chief people office at McDonald's, was also featured.
