ABSTRACT
This article provides information on the major parameters of the ability of microprocessor-controlled ultrasonic plastic welders to assemble delicate parts and challenging materials. The operating frequency is the first variable engineers need to think about which is determined by the utlrasonic stack. The most important of all the parameters in ultrasonic welding is amplitude, the peak-to-peak motion of the horn at its face. Another key variable is the force at which one part is pushed against the other.
