ABSTRACT
The article discusses the behavioral and cultural change in the hospice care industry in 2009. According to Susan Levitt, executive director of CNS Home Health and Hospice, hospices face more regulation and fiscal responsibility. It is said that hospice prospective payment system (PPS) could be implemented with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) collecting data.
