ABSTRACT
The article discusses the advantages of using pulsed metal inert gas (MIG), a process that controls the amount of heat put into a weld and overcomes the limitations of traditional MIG welding. Pulsed MIG welding process is used in several aluminum applications and it also offers economic benefit. The features of pulsed MIG systems have been changed to address the complexity of the first generation of pulsed MIG machines. In addition, the design of pulsed MIG systems can be customized to respond to the specific needs of welders.
