ABSTRACT
The article reports that the U.S. National Research Council (NRC) has requested that president-elect Barack Obama revamp the nation's export-control system and make it easier for foreign scientists to receive visas. A report published by the NRC warns that U.S. economic growth and homeland security are threatened by the outdated methodologies which restrict the flow of technologies and information to other countries.
