ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the solidification/stabilization treatment at the Brunswick Wood Preserving Superfund Site in Georgia. This treatment is used as a remedial component in treating the contaminated soils and sediments of the site. It involves the mixture of binding agent into contaminated soil, sediment, sludge or waste. It reduces the permeability of the material for use in the cap while improving its structural properties. It notes that wood-treating activities were conducted at many areas of the site.
