ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the economic stimulus packages being launched by U.S. states. Some of the states proposing a stimulus package include Washington, Florida, Ohio and Vermont. For their respective packages, states have relied on new bonds to fund infrastructure and other projects. According to Sujit CanagaRetna, senior fiscal analyst with The Council of State Governments, some states like Vermont can take on more bonds and use it as an opportunity to resuscitate their economies. Aside from transportation, it is now focusing on housing projects.
