ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Raphael Saadiq's music such as "The Way I See It," which he sang as homage to the soul music during the John Legend show in Chicago. It evaluates Saadiq's record that is considered a throwback to the Golden Age of Motown in terms of songwriting and sonics.
