ABSTRACT
The article reports on the move of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) to ratify its $73.1 million 2009 budget in the U.S. The NAIC decided to increase its budget by 7 percent to fund important statistical and technology-based member services and state participation. However, insurance companies criticized the increase in the travel budget of the NAIC.
