The article reports that Los Angeles Dodgers has sued insurer Ace American Insurance Co. for refusing to pay more than $9 million under a disability policy to right-handed pitcher Jason Schmidt. The baseball team and insurance company are arguing whether the injury to pitching shoulder of Schmidt was pre-existing. It is stated that the team has paid a $2.5 million premium to cover Schmidt after he signed a three-year $47 million deal in December 2006.
