ABSTRACT
The article presents news briefs related to the rubber and plastics industry. Goodyear Dunlop Tires North America Ltd. has cut 147 jobs at its Tonawanda, New York. Rhein Chemie Corp. said it is removing 827,590 pounds of greenhouse gases from the environment and cutting its energy consumption by nearly 56 percent. Solvay Solexis plans to suspend production at its Tecnoflon fluoroelastomer plants during December 2008 because of declining demand.
