ABSTRACT
This article discusses the air strikes launched by Israel against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. It is expected that Israel will launch a full scale ground assault against Hamas in Gaza and Israeli tanks have massed along the Gazan border. Israel's long term goal is to eliminate Hamas completely and probably re-install Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. Israel's military targets in Gaza are the political and military infrastructure of Hamas.
