World Market Center files a dozen trademark lawsuits

December 2008
Las Vegas Business Press (10712186);12/22/2008, Vol. 25 Issue 51, p16
The article discusses the trademark infringement lawsuits filed by the World Market Center against cybersquatters in December 2008. The act may allegedly be the start of a series of mass litigation as companies look for extra revenue sources and ways to stop losses. Mark Tratos, an attorney representing World Market Center Las Vegas in the cases, said the lawsuits marked an increase in the intellectual property sweeps normally done by organizers of the Las Vegas Market. Defendants include Michael Ritz, Domain Park Limited and David Shaker.
