ABSTRACT
The article reports the opening of Encore in the Las Vegas, Nevada Strip, owned by Wynn Resorts Ltd. and a follow-up to Wynn Las Vegas, in December 2008 amid a challenging economy in the U.S. Andrew Pascal, president and chief operating officer (COO) of Encore and Wynn Las Vegas said the two casinos offer cost-saving advantages on the operations side as well as a complete resort experience for the consumers. Wynn Resorts Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Steve Wynn said that Encore offer an alternative without a tinge of compromise.
