ABSTRACT
The article discusses the YouTube video of the 1974 wrestling match between Lee Kemp and Alexander Markovich at The Cleveland Arena. It is the opinion of the author that Lee Kemp from Chardon is the most famous person from that rural northeast Ohio town, that he is the best wrestler from the Buckeye state, and that he is the greatest American freestyle wrestler who never participated in the Olympic Games. Background on the life of Lee Kemp, particularly his wrestling career, is also presented.
