Geneva Acquires Indian Steelmaker

The article reports that Quincy, Massachusetts-based Geneva Acquisition has entered into an agreement to acquire Global Hi-Tech Industries Ltd. (GHIL). Following the merger, GHIL production capacity is expected to grow more than three-fold in India. Demand for structural steel in the region has increased due to the growth of the domestic construction industry. Under the terms of the deal, Geneva will acquire GHIL to form India Steel and Metals Corp.
