The article provides information on Gome Electrical Appliances. It states that the company is the largest appliance retailer in China with 1,300 store network which unfortunately had an 80% drop in its company stock between January and October 2008. Chen Xiao, the president of the company, affirms that the merger trend in retailers in China will become more demanding just like the 77% increase in acquisitions and mergers to$76 billion in the said country in 2007.
