ABSTRACT
The article presents information on a collaboration between Bridgestone Corp. and Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd., under which Toyo Tire will make up to 300,000 Bridgestone brand tires annually, starting in 2009 at its plant in Georgia. Also, Bridgestone will make up to 1 million tires a year for Toyo at its plants in Mexico and Brazil, starting in 2010. According to Carios Kibata, president at Toyo, the deal will allow Toyo to expand its business in Mexico and Brazil.
