ABSTRACT
The article reports that investigators are searching for the cause of a fire that destroyed the Carlisle Tire & Wheel Co. tire plant in Bowdon, Georgia. The facility employed about 320 workers and manufactured solid tire and wheel assemblies. About 100 firefighters from fire departments were called at the tire plant on November 16, 2008, who reportedly took 24 hours to bring the fire under control.
