Modular System Ensures Robot Safety

The article discusses the use of the PNOZmulti system from safety equipment manufacturer Pilz Automation Safety LP by SureFire LLC of Fountain Valley, California to ensure that their transition to flexible automation never injures one of its employees. According to the article, the system is built around a base unit with a chip card that controls and monitors whatever safety devices are being employed. Also, it is fully modular and immediately alerts operators whenever there is any kind of problem.
