Foamex sales tumble 19.4% but supplier turns a profit

The article reports that the third quarter sales of the polyurethane foam supplier for furniture and bedding Foamex International Inc. fell to 19.4% but turned a profit of $2.38 million. It states that the company's sales were weak in all of its business segments and sales of foam products tumbled 8%. President and chief executive officer Jack Johnson says that to solve the problem, they are investing on innovative technologies, developing new products, and looking for new market opportunities.
