The article discusses the use of online social networking sites as a marketing tool for the automakers. Car companies are not only advertising on popular networking sites as Facebook, MySpace and YouTube, but are also posting videos, games and other content tailored to the sites' subscribers. Such web sites allow companies to reach owners and enthusiasts and promote their vehicle in novel ways.
