The article announces that GFI Group, an inter-dealer brokerage firm, is introducing a new electronic system for credit default swaps (CDS) on its CreditMatch platform. It discusses the new features of the CDS, as reported by GFI chief executive Michael Gooch, including transparency, functionality, and access to multi-clearing mechanisms in a single click. GFI has connections to Belear and a consortium of firms investing in Clearing Corp. which provides CDS clearing.
