ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs on economic issues in Nevada as of December 2008. A marginal increase of 0.2 percent in total employment was recorded in the Las Vegas Valley in October. Meanwhile, a 6.3 percent year-over-year decrease in taxable retail sales activity was reported for Clark County. It adds that there is a 2.9 percent decline in the gross gaming revenues for Clark County casinos.
