ABSTRACT
The article discusses the challenges and obstacles that reduce the effectiveness of the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality's (AHRQ) telehealth grants. It notes that one-third of patients stopped using the devices because vendor-supplied home monitoring devices failed to work on a regular basis and technical support is not always available. Furthermore, small pills and patient wound areas are not accurately seen in video cameras used for transmission of the video and still images.
