It states that Smith specifically design the tricycle for him to easily manipulate the said vehicle even with the wheelchair in it. It also mentions that with the help of some fabricators and friends, Smith was able to develop the said wheelchair accessible vehicle with a lower budget and at a reasonable span of time.
