ABSTRACT
The article reports that the sale of Boscov's Department Store LLC to an investor group headed by members of its founding family has been approved by a U.S. Bankruptcy Court judge. Since April 2008, the retailer has been operating under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It said that unsecured creditors committee supported the sale. Ken Lakin, chairman and chief executive, said Boscov's ability to reach this restructuring is the result of hard work and commitment of their co-workers.
