ABSTRACT
The article presents a risk summary of the political, economic and business conditions in Estonia as of January 2009. On November 15, 2008, Prime Minister Andrus has disclosed the possibility of achieving the Maastrict criteria for euro-entry at the end of 2010. It notes that the Bank of Estonia will likely be forced to devalue the kroon on the account of further recession and constricted global credit conditions. Also noted is a multilateral aid that the country may be requiring at some point in the short term.
