ABSTRACT
The article predicts that Poland's euro adoption will unlikely happen before 2013, according to the Business Monitor International (BMI). However, BMI notes that prior to euro adoption, the country needs to meet several conditions set out in the Maastrict criteria. These include an inflation rate less than 1.55 higher than the three lowest inflation member states, a long-term interest rate of no more than 2.00pp above the three lowest inflation member states, and membership in exchange rate mechanism-2 for two years.
